Salem Clawthorne is a Femmeflux artist, writer, and musician from the suburbs of Los Angeles, California. Her passions in life stem from the adversity she has overcome as a woman with chronic illness. As a big picture thinker, she has used her unique perceptions of the human experience to enhance beauty in the world. Despite her disabilities, she has produced vivacious works of art, soulful music, and contemplative writings. She is a stalwart advocate for holding compassion, even for those who may stir up trouble, and believes that "we are only as rich as the company we keep." She also tends to get carried away when visiting plant nurseries. Salem is humbled by each new person she meets and feels endlessly hopeful for her and her communities' futures.
