Salem Clawthorne is a Femmeflux artist, writer, and musician from the suburbs of Los Angeles, California. Her passions in life stem from the adversity she has overcome as a woman with chronic illness. Self-expression and creative thinking have always flowed naturally from Salem, and as such, she has used her unique perceptions of the human experience to enhance beauty in the world. Despite her disabilities, she has produced vivacious works of art, soulful music, and contemplative writings. She is a stalwart advocate for subversive compassion and encourages community building and emotional growth through goal-oriented action and regenerative relationships. She also tends to get carried away when visiting plant nurseries. Salem is humbled by each new person she meets and feels endlessly hopeful for her and her communities' futures.
