In a Bottle

Of all the splendors in this world

There are few things

We ever get to fully appreciate

Lightning strikes

But I’ve never seemed

To have a bottle handy

’Til you gave me one

Mezmerized by how quickly

You’ve appeared in my life

A droplet of joy

Forms in my eye

I won’t hold you forever

You can come and go as you please

But this lightning in a bottle

Is all I’ve ever needed
